Volkswagen has been looking into the future for decades as they continue to prepare to go all-electric by 2035 in Europe, with the United States following shortly after. Still, today, Volkswagen remains a cutting-edge brand offering the e-up! and the e-Golf as fully electric models and the ID.4.

The Fully-Electric Volkswagen e-up!

If you're looking to go completely electric with Volkswagen then the VW e-up! is a great place to start. The e-up! is a small car with a lot to offer. The compact exterior makes urban driving enjoyable. Offering a minimalistic design with high performance and effortless handling to leave the fear of parallel parking behind you. The interior features a surprisingly spacious cabin with 4 comfortable seats and luggage compartments for extra storage. And though it is equipped with all the latest technology, connectivity, and safety features anyone could need, the VW e-up!'s greatest feature is still its 159-161 miles of pure electric range designed to take drivers farther with zero fuel emissions – ever. This vehicle should arrive in the stats in 2022.

The All-Electric Volkswagen e-Golf

The all-electric VW e-Golf brings all the benefits of an electric vehicle to the already fun-to-drive, practical, award-winning Volkswagen Golf. With zero tailpipe emissions, an all-electric motor, 134 hp, and 214 lb-ft of torque, the VW e-Golf is at the top of the all-electric vehicle list. Named “Best Hatchback of 2019 by Digital Trends,” the VW e-Golf is one of the best PHEV cars on the market and has a great foundation to stand on with 46 years of perfecting the model since the iconic VW hatchback debuted in the United States. With ample cabin space for four, standard DC fast-charging, and 134 horsepower from the electric motor—the VW e-Golf now comes with an advanced Driver Assistance package and safety features too.

The ID Family of Electric Volkswagen Concepts (Coming Soon!)

The Volkswagen I.D. Family of all-electric vehicle concepts will be introduced to the market soon with the ID.4, I.D CROZZ SUV, and I.D. BUZZ. Based on the new Modular electric drive matrix (MEB), these new I.D. models will have a gas range that is comparable to current fuel-based vehicles (but with zero-emission powertrains).

The I.D. CROZZ concept is Volkswagen's take on an all-electric compact SUV offering 302 hp, AWD, and an anticipated range of up to 300 miles.

The all-electric ID.BUZZ concept features the iconic VW Microbus with a large interior seating for 7, the latest technology features, and best yet – an all-electric powertrain.

The VW I.D4 is now available for pre-order as the first electric SUV and VW's first big step in making its commitment to climate change a reality. With over 250 miles of range between charges, the VW ID.4 is one of the most luxurious, yet affordable, electric cars on the market today.
